Use & Operation

Based on the same fiber optic technology as the Explomet 2 series, the Detomet 2.0 can measure the delay of non-electric & electric detonators initiated by Shock Tube with high accuracy.

1) Measure the practical detonation speed of the shock tube. This often varies from the theoretical value.

2) Measure the delay of 5 identical detonators in one go for an optimal quality control.

Optical fibers are suitable for all types of detonators:

  • Surface detonators (bunch block, snapline connector, etc…)
  • In-hole detonators (with adapter, as per customer request according to the diameter of your detonators)
  • Long delay detonators (with adapter, as per customer request according to the diameter of your detonators)
